Saturday 30th April 2016 Phil and Janet got married after over 30 years of being together....and what a lovely day it was too!
Cricklade House Hotel is a beautiful country house overlooking beautiful views of the Wiltshire countryside, it's such a lovely location for a wedding and perfect for Phil and Janet as it's a local venue to them.
Since planning their wedding Phil and Janet had planned for an outdoor wedding and despite the forecast....which was not good....the sun was shining and the wedding was set to take place in The Folly in the garden.
Janet's brother had the big job of walking her down the aisle. The registrar just started talking to all the guests and was just about to start the ceremony when the heavens opened and not only did it pour with rain it also hailed! Guests quickly ran for cover under the folly and inside the venue. Phil and Janet then made the decision to head back indoors for the ceremony. Cricklade House Hotel Staff were brilliant at quickly sorting out the seats for the guests and within a few minutes the ceremony took place.
After the ceremony the sun decided to make another appearance just in time for photos and it stuck around all afternoon.
Both Janet and Phil work with Sheet Metal, so for the room decorations they created bespoke table centre pieces, cake topper and post box.
Phil, the best man and Janet's brother each said a speech.
Congratulations Janet and Phil!
