Ed and Emma got married at The Barn at Upcote on a beautiful spring day, the weather was very warm, but not too hot! The Barn at Upcote is situated amongst the Cotswold Hills near Cheltenham, it sure is a beautiful location for a wedding. The stone barn sits amongst the landscape of rolling fields in each and every direction, and peacocks roam free! As well as the fields and barns you can take a walk around the stunning private garden on site.
The bridesmaids began the procession and made their way down the steps and into the barn, Emma and her father followed and with a big smile upon her face Emma made her way down the aisle where she was greeted by the guests and of course Ed, her husband to be! With friends and family looking on Ed and Emma exchanged rings and said their wedding vows to each other and once the official signing of the register was finalised it was time for the newlyweds to walk hand and hand up the aisle and to be showered in confetti.
The atmosphere after the ceremony was buzzing with lots of chatter and laughter as guests enjoyed the spring sunshine in the courtyard, some guests enjoyed the lawn games while others just sat back and relaxed. Ed and Emma greeted guests and even had a game or two of coconut shy.
Ed and Emma took a walk around the barn and gardens for their bridal portraits and were joined by friends and family for a few photos. Meanwhile the wedding team at The Barn at Upcote were busy making the final preparations for the wedding breakfast and soon it was time for guests to head inside and be seated for their yummy meal!
The room looked stunning and featured a top table for the bride , groom and parents and round tables with flower centerpieces for the guests, lanterns were hung from the ceiling, wooden carved name places and favour boxes were placed for each and every guest and the cake was beautifully placed for all to see.
The wedding meal was so yummy (Thanks Ed and Emma!) After everybody had eaten glasses of fizz were given and everybody listened as the groom, best man and the father of the bride each said a speech. After the tears and laughter from the speeches, everybody headed to the bar and courtyard for drinks and await the start of the evening entertainment. At this time we took advantage of the evening sunshine and went for a little walk to the cornfields.
The bride and groom cut their cake with friends and family looking on before enjoying their first dance, for a whole 10 seconds! before they called up friends and family to join them on the dance floor.
Once everybody was upon the dance floor it was time for us to say our goodbyes to the new Mr & Mrs Woolf! It sure was a lovely wedding and an honour to photograph it for Ed and Emma. We wish them all the happiness and love for the future.
