Amy & Jay were married on a beautiful sunny May day at Lapstone Barn, Chipping Campden in the Cotswold’s. Lapstone Barn is situated amongst the rolling fields of the beautiful town of Chipping Campden, nothing but beautiful views surround the barn giving you a peaceful rural setting oozing with Cotswold charm for your wedding day.
Amy with her Mom and the bridesmaids spent the morning preparing for the wedding at Lapstone Barn, the room was buzzing with chatter, laughter and excitement for the day ahead. With a glass of fizz in their hands the girls got ready and while getting ready they could watch from the window of their room, the arrival of the guests, while watching the excitement grew and before we knew it, it was time for Amy to step into her dress. Mother of the Bride had the important job of helping Amy with her dress, while the bridesmaids fluffed the dress and helped Amy with the final details such as perfume, jewellery and of course the bouquet.
As the guests arrived, Jay and the groomsmen were busy greeting them and showing them to their seats. Once everybody was seated it was time for Amy to walk down the aisle with her Dad by her side. Amy had the most beautiful smile upon her face as she walked towards Jay, who also had a huge smile to greet Amy. As Amy and Jay said their vows to each other, friends and family watched on. The vows were spoken, rings exchanged and a kiss sealed the deal for the new Mr & Mrs Armstrong!
The drinks reception started with guests laughing as they showered the newlyweds with confetti. Then there was lots of hugs and kisses as the newlyweds were congratulated on their marriage and lots of excitement as soon as they spotted their dog “Marty” With the sun shining, dog Marty and a glass of fizz it was time to go for a little walk for photos.
The Barn was beautifully dressed for the wedding breakfast with candles and floral displays featuring on each and every table, the cake was placed for all to see and even featured Marty, the travel theme featured throughout with suitcases for the cards, a map for the seating plan and parcels for each and every guest.
The speeches followed a yummy 3 course meal and sticking to tradition the Father of the Bride, Groom and Bestmen all said a speech. Each speech different yet full of laughter, happiness and joy! The evening celebrations started off with a sing-a-long with the band before cutting the cake, then the wedding party joined the bride and groom on the dance floor and had a fabulous time dancing the night away.
It was such a beautiful wedding day at Lapstone Barn and it was great fun to photograph. A huge congratulations to Mr & Mrs Armstrong!
