Andy & Sarah were married on a gorgeous September day at Manor by the Lake. Manor by the Lake is a stunning Victorian Manor with beautiful gardens all around with a beautiful lake. The Manor itself is stunning with many different rooms and open fireplaces, it sure is a beautiful backdrop for wedding photos inside and out.
Our day began with Sarah who spent the morning preparing with her Mom, Niece and Bridesmaid Sophie. It was a lovely calm morning while the hair and make-up preparations took place and once the make-up was applied and hair sprayed for the last time, it was time for Sarah to step into her beautiful wedding dress and after a few photos Sarah’s Dad was ready and waiting to walk his daughter down the aisle. We absolutely loved the “unplugged” wedding sign as you entered the ceremony, telling guests the bride and groom want to see their faces not devices, we couldn’t agree more it’s great to be in the moment and witness such a big event. The guests were seated and awaited the brides arrival, Andy was stood looking straight ahead as Sarah made her entrance with her Dad, right at the last minute Andy turned to see Sarah walking down the aisle.
A few happy tears flowed during the ceremony as friends and family watched Andy and Sarah become Husband and Wife. Andy and Sarah exchanged wedding rings and said their vows to each other and celebrated with a kiss once pronounced as Husband and Wife. Once the official paperwork was signed the new Mr & Mrs Reeves walked up the aisle to be greeted with a glass of bubbles and then they headed outside to be showered in confetti!
The drink reception took place in the gardens at Manor by the Lake, Andy and Sarah greeted their guests and enjoyed the September sunshine before going for a walk around the gardens for their Bride and Groom portraits. When we first met Andy and Sarah they were quick to say they were not big fans of having their photos taken, but looking at the pictures you would never know this, in fact they were absolutely fabulous during their portrait photos!
The wedding breakfast took place in the same room as the ceremony at the Manor, the wedding theme suited the elegance of the venue, with beautiful flowers on each and every table and the gorgeous (and yummy) cake took pride of place next to the top table. The cake was extra special as it was made by Bridesmaid Sophie aka The Cheltenham Cakery….Sophie recommended us to Andy and Sarah too (Thanks Sophie!)
Keeping to tradition the Father of the Bride was first to say a few words, followed by Andy and of course the Best Man. Once the wedding breakfast had finished it was soon time for the evening celebrations to start and of course there is no better way to celebrate then with a disco! Guests enjoyed busting a few moves on the dance floor and munching on a yummy buffet, cake and popcorn!
After a few evening photos we said our goodbyes to Andy and Sarah. We very much enjoyed being a part of this lovely wedding day. We wish them lots of love and happiness for the future!
