Stuart and Jennifer had a beautiful spring day for their wedding at Berkeley Castle, the sun shone brightly all day meaning the bride, groom and their guests could enjoy all of the gorgeous surroundings Berkeley Castle has to offer.
We first met Stuart and Jennifer while we were on our lunch break at another wedding the previous year, they were there for some lunch and started chatting to us all about their wedding plans, a few weeks later they booked us!
Stuart spent the morning preparing with his groomsmen in a lovely house in the town of Berkeley and just around the corner Jennifer was also spending the morning with the bridesmaids preparing for the day ahead. Jennifer was busy having her hair and make-up beautifully styled when Carissa arrived, the atmosphere was buzzing with lots of chatter and laughter. Once the groom and groomsmen were ready they made their way to Berkeley Castle to great the arriving guests. Meanwhile Jennifer was stepping into her dress and once the veil was in place it was time for the Bride to make her way to the wedding.
In the ceremony room everybody was seated and awaiting the arrival of the Bride, once the Bride arrived everybody soon was stood and watching Jennifer walk down the aisle with her Dad by her side. Jennifer had a huge smile upon her face as she walked towards Stuart, she even took the opportunity to look around and take it all in. The ceremony was lovely and included the giving and receiving of wedding rings, lovely wedding vows and of course they sealed the deal with a kiss!
After being bombarded with confetti the newlyweds enjoyed a glass of fizz with their friends and family. The chatter and laughter continued all afternoon, guests enjoyed the stunning views and were even lucky enough to have a tour of the castle by a guide while the Bride and Groom were busy having their photos taken.
The wedding breakfast room looked very grand and was beautifully dressed with jars of flowers and candles. The wedding cake was made by Stuart’s Mum and took pride of place next to the top table. The cutting of the cake took place before the wedding speeches and keeping to tradition the father of the bride, Groom and best man each said a speech all filled with lots of laughter, love and for the best man speech a few cringe worthy moments for Stuart!
The evening celebrations started with the bride and groom taking to the dancefloor first, for their first dance as husband and wife, they were soon joined by friends and family on the dancefloor.
It sure was a lovely day photographing Jennifer and Stuart’s wedding, we wish them all the luck, love and happiness for the future.
