Dan & Vicki were married on a warm summers day at Lasborough Church which is situated in a stunning Cotswold valley, the medieval church sits amongst the rolling hills, i could see why Dan and Vicki chose it to be where they said “I DO”. Their reception followed at The Hare & Hounds Hotel Tetbury, a favourite venue of ours as we have photographed many a wedding there, the hotel and grounds are perfect for wedding celebrations.
We first met Dan and Vicki at a wedding fair, they had only just started their search for a wedding venue but took the time to stop and have a chat with us. We saw them again at a few other wedding fairs and each time they would stop by and say hello, once they had booked their venue they booked us to photograph their special day.
We began the wedding day with Vicki and the bridesmaids preparing for the day ahead at The Hare and Hounds Tetbury, it was a chatty morning with the fizz flowing and lots of giggles. Meanwhile on the other side of the hotel Dan was preparing with the groomsmen, Dan being a military man had lots of preparing to do with his uniform, but he was soon suited up and posing for a few photos with the groomsmen before heading to the church. Once Vicki was ready it was time for the bride, bridesmaids and her parents to make their way to the church too!
Everybody was seated at Lasborough Church and awaiting the arrival of the bride, quiet chatter filled the air and anticipation grew, once the bride arrived everybody stood and watched as she walked down the aisle with her dad by her side, she looked at her dad and all around her as she walked towards Dan. The ceremony was lovely, throughout the vows and exchange of the rings there were a few giggles. During the hymns and readings they would share a quick glance at each other, both with the biggest of smiles upon their faces. After the congregation left the church family and friends all gathered outside the church for photos before heading to The Hare and Hounds for the wedding celebrations.
While the bride, groom and guests enjoyed the sunshine and a refreshing drink, The Hare and Hounds team were just adding the finishing touches to the wedding reception room. Twinkling lights and bunting were hung from the ceiling, jars of flowers were beautifully placed upon wooden logs for the centrepieces which added to the rustic theme and the cake made by two friends took pride of place next to the top table. Once the room was finalised it was time for the guests to take their seats and with a huge cheer and around of applause the bride and groom entered the wedding breakfast. The father of the bride and groom each said a speech and then of course Dan’s two best men said a speech with pictures too! All three speeches were brilliant laugh out loud, emotional and heartfelt – well done guys!
The evening was just as warm as the day, so guests could enjoy lawn games while waiting for the party to start. Dan and Vicki cut the cake before stepping onto the dance floor for the very first time as husband and wife.
We very much enjoyed photographing Dan and Vicki’s wedding day, we wish them all the love and happiness for the future.
